Since 1901, when it was first created to haul lumber through the mountains of eastern WV to the mill at Cass, Cass Scenic Railroad has been a staple of West Virginia. Now, as a tourist railroad that uses the same engines and many of the same refurbished logging cars, Cass is a beloved destination for many in the Mountain State.
